DUBAI is all set to launch the 28th edition of its annual Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) festival from Friday, 27 June to Saturday, 31 August.

With a power-packed schedule of live concerts, unbeatable retail offers, exclusive raffles, and family-friendly events, DSS 2025 is expected to be the most exciting edition yet.

Kicking off with a high-energy opening weekend from 27 to 29 June, the festival promises 66 days of uninterrupted entertainment and value for residents and tourists alike.

Organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE), the festival introduces a new format this year, dividing the retail experience into three distinct shopping seasons for the first time. The Opening Weekend will also mark the start of the Summer Holiday Offers season, running from 27 June to 17 July, offering 25 to 75 percent discounts across hundreds of brands throughout the city.

Summer sales

The Summer Holiday Offers will be followed by the Great Dubai Summer Sale and the Back to School campaign. Over 800 top brands and 3,500 stores are taking part in the DSS Sales Season, offering citywide bargains across fashion, tech, beauty, and home essentials.

Shoppers can expect rewarding promotions, exclusive in-mall activations, and the return of the Lucky Receipt campaign, giving 210 winners the chance to walk away with prizes between 27 June and 17 July. Meanwhile, loyalty programmes like Tickit and AURA will give members added chances to win.

The Interiors Warehouse Sale, also part of the early summer push, will run from 27 June to 5 July at Dubai World Trade Centre, featuring discounts starting at 55 per cent on luxury furniture brands including Giorgio Collection and Michael Amini.

Concerts and shows

A star-studded line-up of concerts and performances will electrify the city throughout the opening weekend. Free mall concerts will take place from 27 to 28 June. On Friday, Dubai Festival City Mall will feature Japanese dance group Sabrina and pop sensation Reina Khoury, while Saturday will see Noel Kharman and Abri & the Band hit the stage. At City Centre Mirdif, Syrian artist Al Shami and Jordanian rock band Jadal are set to perform live.

Headline acts for ticketed events include Miami Band and Mutref Al Mutref at Coca-Cola Arena on 28 June, Banah at Dubai Opera on 27 June, and A Tribute to Adele at Theatre by QE2 from 27 June. Comedy lovers can catch Atul Khatri live at Dubai College and the Pinoy Comedy Mixtape at Dubai World Trade Centre.

Citywide activations

Opening weekend also brings a slew of citywide raffles and promotions. Dubai Festival City Mall will host the “Spend and Win a Polestar 4 LRSM” contest, while Majid Al Futtaim malls will feature the SHARE Millionaire draw. Other popular activations include “Shop, Win, Drive” at Festival Plaza and the “Win a Soueast S06” campaign at Dubai Outlet Mall.

Health-conscious visitors can take part in the first indoor mall run of the season at Dubai Hills Mall on Saturday, 28 June. Powered by Skechers, the event offers 1km, 2.5km, 5km, and 10km routes for participants of all ages and fitness levels.

The DSS Entertainer, launching on 27 June, offers three months of unlimited savings with over 7,500 buy-one-get-one-free deals across premium dining, entertainment, fitness, and beauty venues.
